Planning & Demand Management Architect

Job responsibilities

To coordinate, lead the team, and plan IT-related annual programs. The role demands the setup of project schedules, timelines, resources, and vendor management; ensuring key result delivery; providing feedback and solutions; updating project status to management; performing demand planning for IT infrastructures; managing demand from business users; and delivering solutions.

  • Interface with all stakeholders, including sales and service, marketing, customer service, and other related departments, for demand management, understand the business requirement, translate it to a technical requirement, and vice versa. Manage resources and vendors to accomplish the project on time.
  • Provide a quarterly demand management report and strategy for the roadmap solution.
  • Compile and report KPIs for all IT infrastructures on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • Provide recommendations and solutions for capacity planning and propose expansion if needed.
  • Assist the head of department in the planning of business applications, reporting, and other related areas.
  • Provide recommendations and solutions that contribute to the strategy of smart Axiata infrastructure and organization.
  • Conduct feasibility studies on key projects and carry out project management work on key IT
  • Consolidate the current process to optimize resources, time, and work effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with the established security policy.

Job requirements

  • A university degree or a relevant undergrad or professional qualification in information technology or telecommunication technology
  • Certification in project management and telecommunications business acumen
  • At least 3 years of experience in the telecommunications sector. Experience of successfully delivering challenging information technology projects, meeting range key targets, and making significant improvements.
  • A minimum of 3 years of working experience in a similar role in major complex organizations.
  • Experience in communication and working collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels, including senior management and key professional staff, both internal and external to the organization, in order to achieve successful outcomes.
  • End-to-end technical view (advanced): knowledge and ability to understand the telecommunications industry, the end-to-end architecture, value chain, systems, and interconnect/inter-operation, including process flows from customer to service in support of service delivery and the services from the customer demands to the delivery, in the context of your domain of expertise.
  • Change Management (Advanced): knowledge and ability to define and manage processes for deploying and integrating new digital capabilities into the business in a way that is sensitive to and fully compatible with business operations.
  • Process Improvement (Intermediate): Knowledge and ability to understand business processes, improve internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and use methods to make the unit more efficient
  • System Development Life Cycle (Advanced): Knowledge and application of the process for planning, creating, testing, and deploying an information system
  • Architecture Design (Intermediate): Knowledge and ability to set or select standards, patterns, and practices for the development of software applications
  • Software Quality (Intermediate): Knowledge and ability to maintain software functional quality and software structural quality through the standards set by the business (code style, unit testing, code version management)
  • Test Management (Intermediate): Knowledge and ability to define and execute a test strategy and test plan that achieves the quality goals of the organization
  • Automation (intermediate): knowledge and ability to identify new and alternative approaches to performing business activities and recognize the potential for automation of the processes; understand how to effect organizational change such that the identified process can then be automated; understand the tools and technologies that are used for the automation of business tasks, including all aspects of automation, technology, and testing.
  • IT Planning and Strategy (Advanced): knowledge and ability to set priorities, focus energy and resources, strengthen operations, ensure that employees and other stakeholders are working toward common goals, establish agreement around intended outcomes and results, and assess and adjust the organization's direction in response to a changing environment.
