Senior Sales Development Specialist

Job responsibilities

The incumbent is responsible to drive successful penetration of Smart mobile services among consumers in Cambodia, utilising analytics and sales practices supporting dealers, agencies and ed customers. And to set execution strategy for RGB and customer base growth in accordance with the company BP, network rollout and territory-based insights. Direct responsibility for planning and actively contributing for delivery of the yearly RGB, market share increase and churn initiatives. To maintain a standard operation of each targeted location from initial startup till full implement of the strategy and post report. 

  • To drive analysis and business decision based on the available data from network, customer base and customer behavior and set up strategy and execution directions for achieving company objectives.
  • To monitor competitor activities and propose counter actions for sustaining leading position of Smart Axiata
  • To run and initiate regular updates and reviews of the operating procedures, sales manuals, and activities in looking for constant improvement and competitive advantage of Smart Axiata
  • To establish the standard operation process and workflow to acquire new subscribers.
  • To initiate and lead the projects, governance, and document all aspects of the projects assigned.
  • To drive strong collaboration with commercial teams such as B2C Management, CLM, Marcom and other related teams, as Network, Finance, but not limited to.
  • To track the status of all projects and update all related stakeholders.
  • To ensure clear communication among all groups involved in the successful delivery of projects. This includes day-to-day communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • To Manage all post-delivery project needs including confirming project close with key stakeholders; debriefs and creating rebound opportunities; and assuring internal and external partner satisfaction.
  • Initiate a new program to increase new subscribers and revenue as well as maintain the report performance of each targeted location in a profitable manner.
  • Develop and evaluate the performance report and provide necessary guidance and feedback to each sales team to improve performance.
  • Ensure diligent management of product inventory, accuracy of cash collection and stock reconcile.
  • Coordinate with internal and external parties/vendors from raising request, execution of Smart branding in each targeted location.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget as well as fulfill the compliance required by Smart.
  • Identify key sales potential areas and generate sales ideas.
  • Assist in the focus of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant teams and ensuring technical achievability is completed.
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of free SIM distribution.
  • Strategic and Report Preparation
  • To establish reporting and analysis demonstrating territory performance of smart and identifying opportunities, demonstrating effect of activities implemented and initiating continuous improvement.
  • To search for knowledge from Axiata group on new sales and territory development practices and to implement relevant for Smart Axiata
  • To employ information from all available sources including GPS, attendance reports, sales agents’ performance
  • To Set up and implement new strategies of new and on-going projects to be delivered on time, on budget, and on the scope. This includes project delivery timelines; effective sample plans; identifying project risks and developing risk mitigation plans, managing changes in project scope, and providing alternate solutions.
  • Assist direct manager to prepare reports and presentations.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 3- or 4-Years work experience in a process/ sales operations/ digital channel in telecommunications or a similar environment
  • Experience of working collaboratively with diverse range of stakeholders at all levels including senior management and key professional staff cross-departmentally, to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to establish work relationships and communicate effectively with staffs at all levels including senior management.
  • Solid experience in Ms Office (Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel) is required.
  • Ability to demonstrate a good level of verbal and written English.
  • Ability to work with data and drive conclusions.
  • Proactive, passionate, self-confident, able to work effectively under pressure, quality oriented.
