Job responsibilities

Developing system architecture solutions involves mapping the business requirements to systems/ technical requirements, analyzing the impact and enterprise specifics on the overall business goals and outcomes, and ensuring they are in line with the enterprise architectural plan.

• Review, interpret, and respond to detailed business requirements specifications to ensure alignment between customer expectations and current or future ICT capability.
• Provide input on the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in the development of the enterprise architecture and maximize the return on technology investment.
• Within the agreed enterprise architecture, define and design technology solutions to assist the business in meeting its objectives by coordinating with the vendor and platform owner to produce requirements and design documents, ensuring they represent the business's needs.
• Develop, test, and implement technology solutions and report on delivery commitments to ensure solutions are implemented as expected and within agreed time frames.
• Work closely with the vendor and platform owner to ensure the solution is delivered as per design, expected quality, and timeline. Conducting a sanity check on the environment before passing it on to release management and quality assurance.
• Maintain documentation regarding system architecture configuration, application workflow, and business rules.

Job requirements

• A university degree or a relevant undergrad or professional qualification in information technology, telecommunication technology, or software engineering.
• 3  years of experience in the telecommunications sector. Experience of successfully delivering challenging information technology projects, meeting range key targets, and making significant improvements.
• A minimum of 1 year of working experience in a similar role in major complex organizations.
• Experience in communication and working collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels, including senior management and key professional staff, both internal and external to the organization, in order to achieve successful outcomes.
• Strong analytical skills and negotiation quality; high level of interpersonal relationships and teamwork.
• End-to-End Technical View (Intermediate): Knowledge and ability to understand the telecommunications industry, the end-to-end architecture, value chain, systems, and interconnect/inter-operation, including process flows from customer to service in support of service delivery and the services from the customer demands to the delivery, in the context of your domain of expertise.
• Process Improvement (Intermediate): Knowledge and ability to understand business processes, improve internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and use methods to make the unit more efficient
• System Development Life Cycle (Intermediate): Knowledge and application of the process for planning, creating, testing, and deploying an information system
• Business Support Systems (Foundational): Knowledge and ability to operate and maintain the company's various business support systems, including the convergence billing system, charging system, VAS system, and CRM system
• Architecture Design (Intermediate): Knowledge and ability to set or select standards, patterns, and practices for the development of software applications
• User Interface Design (Intermediate): knowledge and ability to design user interfaces, with the focus on maximizing usability and with alignment to the specified user experience design.
• IT Architecture (Intermediate): Knowledge and ability to set or select standards, patterns, and practices for proper design, solution, development, and operation of IT and digital applications
