Anchored on a robust framework, our sustainability efforts drive us towards “Empowering a Sustainable Future” for the Kingdom. Our approach to sustainability is aligned with that of the regional Axiata Group and based on four sustainability pillars:

• Beyond Short-Term Profits: We work to benefit communities through our business, investing in local economies, infrastructure, and digital inclusion.
• Nurturing People: We value our people, ensuring a safe workplace, promoting diversity, and investing in their growth to maintain a motivated and committed workforce.
• Process Excellence: We build trust with stakeholders, prioritize integrity in our digital excellence, and consider Economic, Environment and Society (EES) factors in our operations.
• Planet and Society: We reduce our environmental impact and support communities for a sustainable future.

Smart has been making a significant difference in the lives of Cambodians through a wide range of initiatives and programs. We focus on ensuring that everyone in the country has access to connectivity services, even in the most remote areas. Through various partnerships and collaborations, both in the private and public sectors, we have worked tirelessly to support social programs that address the needs of communities, bridging the digital divide and promoting digital literacy. We foster technology-related knowledge and programs while nurturing the tech startup ecosystem, essential components for the nation’s journey toward a digital economy and inclusive digital society.

Our goal is to lay foundations and support Cambodia’s ambition of becoming an upper-middle-income country by 2030 and a high-income country by 2050, ensuring no one is left behind. In 2022, Smart invested over 650,000 USD in community initiatives focused on digital advancement, technology, education, entrepreneurship, and environmental protection.
