What is Smart Wi-Fi Calling?
Smart Wi-Fi Calling is a service that enables Smart prepaid and postpaid customers to call and text via a Wi-Fi connection.
Is it available to postpaid customers?
Yes, it’s available to both postpaid and prepaid customers.
Will a service subscription fee be charged?
Smart Wi-Fi calling is a free service. Customers do not pay a subscription fee, but standard domestic calling and SMS rates apply on pay-per-use basis.
What are the charging rates for calls and SMS with Smart Wi-Fi Calling?
The charging rates for calls and SMS are as follows:
- Incoming calls and SMS are always free of charge.
- Outgoing calls and SMS to Smart phone numbers are charged at the standard rate of your tariff. Charges will be made to your available balance, whether you have a bonus, promotional or main balance.
- Outgoing calls and SMS to phone numbers from other network providers in Cambodia are charged at the standard rate to your Smart main balance.
- International outgoing calls and SMS are charged at the standard international rate to your Smart main balance.
Can I use Smart Wi-Fi Calling while roaming abroad?
Yes, you can use Smart Wi-Fi Calling while abroad and roaming on another network. Rates for Smart Wi-Fi Calling when roaming abroad are the same as your domestic tariff. Basically, while you’re roaming and using Smart Wi-Fi Calling, you’ll be charged at the same rates as you would in Cambodia.
If I’m in Malaysia using Smart Wi-Fi Calling and want to call a friend in Malaysia who is using a Malaysian mobile operator, what is the charging rate?
It will be charged based on international calling rates from Cambodia to Malaysia. In this case, Smart will consider you as placing a call from Cambodia to Malaysia.
If I’m in Malaysia using Smart Wi-Fi Calling and want to call a friend in Singapore who is using a Singaporean mobile operator, what is the charging rate?
It will be charged based on international calling rates from Cambodia to Singapore. In this case, Smart will consider you as placing a call from Cambodia to Singapore.
If I’m in Malaysia using Smart Wi-Fi Calling and want to call to a friend in Vietnam who is also using Smart Wi-Fi Calling, what is the charging rate?
It will be charged based on domestic Cambodian rates. In this case, Smart will consider you as placing a call from within Cambodia to within Cambodia on the Smart network.
Which devices support Smart Wi-Fi Calling?
The devices that currently support Smart Wi-Fi Calling are:

Samsung: Galaxy J4+, Galaxy J6+, Galaxy J7, Galaxy J8, Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Plus, Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Ultra, Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, Galaxy S21 Ultra, Galaxy Note9, Galaxy Note10, Note 10 Lite, Note 10 Plus, Note 20, Note 20 Plus and Note 20 Ultra.
2. Huawei: Mate 30 Pro, Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, P20, P20 Pro,P30, P30 Pro, P40, P40 Pro, Nova 3, Nova 3i and Nova 3lite.
3. Apple: iPhone 6 and above with iOS 12.1.1.
What do I need to use this service?
You must have a 4G SIM and a device that supports Smart Wi-Fi Calling.
If I don’t have mobile coverage, can I still call with Smart Wi-Fi Calling?
Yes, you can. Simply connect to a stable Wi-Fi nearby.
Can I still Smart Wi-Fi Calling if I remove the SIM card from my phone?
No, you can’t. Smart Wi-Fi Calling requires a Smart 4G SIM card.
If I’m using Smart Wi-Fi Calling, but my friend is connected to a another mobile network, can we still call using this service?
Yes, you can.
How do I know if Smart Wi-Fi Calling is active?
There will be an icon or sign that indicates it is active.
