Transmission Backbone Field Ops Engineer

Transmission Backbone Field Ops Engineer is to maintain, troubleshoot, operate, and install transmission network equipment, including ac-ceptance, rollout, and provisioning within defined SLAs. To work with vendors and contractors for escalating issues and acceptance of new transmission systems, including preparation and maintenance of supplies and spare parts for troubleshooting cases.

• To perform installation of new equipment and transmission system capacity expansion
• To conduct troubleshooting and restoration of transmission network systems in accordance with SLA
• To perform commissioning of transmission network equipment, including IPRAN, DWDM, and radio/microwave transmission systems
• To perform site/cell performance checks and related radio network configuration activities
• To perform preventive and corrective maintenance of transmission network equipment
• To work with contractors and vendors for acceptance, maintenance, and escalation activities
• To manage and maintain spare part supply to ensure availability when required
• To provide on-duty standby operations in case of emergency maintenance requirements in accordance with the monthly schedule
• To monitor and clear the alarm 

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecom, IT, or related degrees
• 3-5 years experience in installation, maintenance, and commissioning of transmissions, operation and maintenance, troubleshooting of radio stations, or related fields.
• Used to work in this field with other operators is an advantage
• Be able to communicate in English, both speaking and writing
• Occupational Health and Safety (Intermediate): Knowledge and techniques related to identifying, assessing, and mitigating occupational safety risks in line with legal, regulatory, and operational requirements
• Networks and service platform roll-out (intermediate): knowledge and ability to build, roll-out or update telecommunications networks and service platforms
• Networks and service monitoring (intermediate): knowledge and ability to diagnose technical problems and ensure continuous improvement of both the quality of service delivered and the network's operational efficiency
• Operations and Maintenance (Intermediate): Knowledge and ability to maintain tele-communications systems and equipment to ensure effective operational performance and continuity of service
• Transmission Networks (Advanced): Knowledge and ability to manage and operate mobile transport networks
• IP networks (intermediate): knowledge and ability to design, install, bring online, oper-ate, optimize, and maintain IP networks
