This year marks a significant milestone for Smart Axiata as we proudly launch the 10th edition of our Annual Sustainability Report: a journey that began in 2014. As the first telecommunications company in Cambodia to publish an annual sustainability report, this continuous achievement reflects our deep commitment to transparency, accountability, and long-term value creation.
Under the theme “Making Sustainability Count,” our 2024 report highlights how Smart Axiata continues to integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into every aspect of our operations. Through measurable actions, innovative solutions, and meaningful partnerships, we are creating real impact for our consumers, communities, and the planet.
Our sustainability approach remains guided by four key pillars that define our contribution to Cambodia’s sustainable development:
- Advancing Digital Society: we are committed to digital inclusion efforts, education and skills training, as well as supporting entrepreneurs to create a more equitable and sustainable future
- Advancing Green Economy: Our strategy includes assessing climate risks, promoting circular economy solutions, and adopting TCFD's recommendations to advance our emissions reporting.
- Developing People & Communities: We prioritize our employees, creating innovative and inclusive workplaces and emphasizing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), while also contributing to education, community development and environmental initiatives beyond our organization, using technology to support communities in need.
- Driving Risk & Governance: We prioritize trust, accountability, and ethical conduct to solidify our standing as a responsible organization, allowing us to innovate and create value for our stakeholders.
