Most young graduates see themselves landing a secure job at a private company. Damrong Sok dreamed of something else entirely. For him, the real excitement was never in titles or offices, but in spotting everyday problems—and daring to solve them. That determination, combined with a love for problem-solving, pushed him toward entrepreneurship and eventually sparked the foundation of OneDash, the on-demand laundry service that’s raising the standard of convenience in Cambodia.
“If you have an idea, don’t wait. Just do it,” he advises. “Challenges will push you to grow.” The idea for his startup came from Damrong’s frustration with traditional laundry services in Phnom Penh, where long delays and missing clothes were common. He believed the process could be simpler, faster, and more reliable.
That's how OneDash began, an on-demand laundry service launched in June 2025. The concept is simple: with just a few clicks, customers schedule a pick-up, have their clothes washed with care, and receive them back at their door, fresh, neatly packaged, and exactly as expected. What makes OneDash unique is its promise of quality, ensuring every detail is handled to match the value customers pay for.
"When I shared my idea out loud, it was challenged. Some said it wouldn’t work. I nearly gave up, but I realized I wouldn’t know until I tried. So I kept going."
Market research was one of his biggest challenges, taking time and requiring him to push himself to speak with strangers, laundry owners, and customers to gather data. Yet it was this very discomfort that pushed him forward. By joining startup competitions, he gained the confidence and proof that his idea truly mattered.
The breakthrough came quickly. By the second month, OneDash had already processed 800% of the first month's order, with the 90% of customers returning. Damrong also added, “That was when I felt more inspired— it proved we weren’t solving an imagined problem, but a real one people face every day.”
The journey also taught him lessons no classroom could. To truly understand his customers, Damrong often stepped into their shoes—experiencing the service himself and seeing how trust is earned through consistency and care.
Looking ahead, Damrong wants OneDash to be at the top of consumers’ minds, when they think of modern and efficient laundry. His vision extends beyond laundry: over the next five years, he plans to branch into home cleaning, office services, and eventually last-mile delivery—building OneDash into a trusted everyday companion.
At its heart, OneDash is about more than clean clothes. It’s about giving people back their time, offering reliability where it’s often missing, and proving that even small daily problems are worth solving with care and innovation. As Damrong puts it, “Believe, and you can achieve.”
