The Platform Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, operation, and continuous improvement of middleware and integration platforms, including MIFE, ESB, and API management solutions. The role ensures platform stability, availability, and performance by proactively monitoring systems, troubleshooting incidents, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions. The Platform Engineer works closely with vendors, third-party partners, and internal stakeholders to support API gateway implementation, API publishing, and integration services. Additionally, the role is responsible for monitoring technical performance, preparing operational reports, and driving initiatives that enhance platform reliability, scalability, and service quality.
