Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer

Plan and ensure enough network capacity to make Smart’s major services run in a redundant mode by participation in network management and changes and developing procedures and plans for effective and reliable network operations.

• Support the hardware operation by timely responding upcoming alarms 
• Support monitoring systems that look after the network environment of the company 
• Compile and run change requests related to the network environment, run user acceptance tests upon completion 
• Provide support to other network colleagues in the team to enhance their skills and experience 
• Provide troubleshooting support to internal colleagues when problems relate to the network area 
• Establish and support site-to-site VPN connections 
• Plan and deploy IP transit and IPLC connections of the company to ensure the utmost level of Internet experience for Smart subscribers 
• Plan and manage disaster recovery drills of the network infrastructure 
• Consistently come up with ideas on deploying new practice and tools to solve systematic operational issues and simplify the network operations 

• Bachelor degree in IT or related field 
• 4 years of hands-on experience with routers and switch configuration.
• 3 year of experience related to the BGP protocol.

• TCP/IP knowledge;
• Understanding of load-balancing and dynamic routing techniques;
• Network design and capacity planning skills
• Good in English, both written and spoken;
• Communication skills, Customer focus;
• Presentation skills.
