Job Purpose

The HR Transformation Lead plays a critical role in driving strategic transformation initiatives across Smart Axiata’s HR function. As an individual contributor within the Center of Excellence, this role focuses on planning, executing, and monitoring HR digitalization and process im-provement projects to enhance efficiency, data accuracy, and employee experience.

The position is responsible for leading AI and automation initiatives, integrating HR technolo-gies, and developing analytics frameworks that enable data-driven decision-making. Working closely with stakeholders across HR, IT, and business functions, the HR Transformation Lead ensures that HR transformation aligns with the company’s strategic priorities and future workforce needs.

Job ResponsibilitiesRe

1. HR Digital Transformation & Automation

  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of digital solutions and AI-driven systems across HR functions.
  • Collaborate with IT and vendors to ensure successful deployment, integration, and adoption of new technologies (e.g., ATS, HRIS, analytics tools).
  • Conduct user training and change management to ensure smooth transition and adoption.

2. HR Process Improvement & Redesign

  • Evaluate existing HR workflows, identify gaps, and propose solutions to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Develop standardized process documentation and ensure alignment with compliance and audit standards.
  • Partner with HR Quality & Compliance to embed governance and continuous improvement mechanisms.

3. Data Analytics & HR Insights

  • Build and manage HR dashboards to track key metrics such as hiring efficiency, onboarding performance, and workforce trends.
  • Leverage data analytics to identify insights and recommend actions that improve HR service delivery and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance data accuracy, visualization, and reporting consistency.

4. HR Transformation Project Management

  • Manage end-to-end project lifecycle — from planning, scoping, and implementation to evaluation.
  • Define project goals, KPIs, timelines, and resources, ensuring timely delivery and measurable outcomes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional project teams and maintain clear communication with leadership.

5. Stakeholder Engagement & Change Enablement

  • Act as a key liaison between HR, IT, and business units to align transformation initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Drive awareness and adoption of digital tools through training, communication, and engagement campaigns.
  • Support the Head of TA in presenting project outcomes and transformation updates to leadership.

6. Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Benchmark HR practices and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Develop recommendations for scaling digital solutions across HR functions (Talent, Learning, Rewards, etc.).
  • Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the team
Job Requirements

Education & Qualification: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, IT, or related field.
  • Master’s degree or certification in HR Technology, Project Management (e.g., PMP, Ag-ile), or Data Analytics is a plus.

Working Experience:

  • At least 5 years of working experience in related fields

Specific Skills: 

  • Strong project management and change management capabilities.
  • Advanced understanding of HR systems, process design, and automation tools.
  • Proficiency in data visualization and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a digital mindset.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in Khmer and English (spoken and written).
