Why certain websites are blocked on our network?
At Smart Axiata, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our customers and community. We've partnered with the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) to actively block access to web pages that host explicit content depicting the abuse of children. This step is part of our ongoing commitment to creating a safer online environment for everyone, especially for children, who are the future of the nation.
Why we block these pages:
- Protecting Children: The blocked URLs contain material showing the graphic sexual abuse of minors. Blocking these pages prevents further distribution of such content, supporting global efforts to protect children globally as well as in Cambodia.
- Shielding Our Community: Accidental exposure to these traumatic images can have a lasting impact. Blocking these URLs helps shield users from the emotional distress and legal consequences of coming across this criminal imagery.
Our Commitment to a Safer Internet: By working with IWF and other partners, we're part of a global movement to fight online child abuse. Blocking access to harmful content is one way we’re helping make the internet safer for everyone.
