The collaboration covers several key pillars:

  • Integrated Travel Solutions: Smart Travel SIMs will be paired with Grab Mobility services to provide tourists and travelers with an immediate, connected arrival experience in Cambodia.
  • Redeemable Digital Rewards: SmartVIP members will soon be able to redeem their loyalty points for Grab e-vouchers, offering more ways to save on rides and food deliveries.
  • Grab and Smart Bundles for Customers: Grab and Smart are exploring joint offerings that bring together connectivity and everyday digital services, creating added value and a more seamless experience for customers across both ecosystems.

Beyond consumer-facing initiatives, the partnership will also extend into Smart’s offices and B2B collaboration. Grab will introduce a range of initiatives for Smart’s corporate and retail ecosystem, and explore opportunities to support the broader business community through collaboration between Smart Enterprise and Grab for Business.

The collaboration brings together Smart Axiata’s 5G connectivity, widespread coverage, and digital ecosystem with Grab’s mobility and ondemand services, with a shared focus on making every day journeys and experience simpler and more seamless for customers across Cambodia.

“Digital services do not exist in isolation. In today’s digital age, connectivity and mobility go hand in hand. Whether you are a tourist visiting Cambodia for the first time, or someone who lives and works here, staying connected and moving seamlessly are both essential. This collaboration with Grab brings together meaningful connectivity and mobility solutions, helping to remove friction from everyday life,” said Ritesh Kumar Singh, Chief Executive Officer of Smart Axiata.

"Cambodia's digital economy is accelerating rapidly, and this partnership with Smart Axiata allows us to drive that momentum where connectivity meets convenience. By combining Smart's robust digital infrastructure with Grab's on-demand ecosystem—from Smart Travel SIM integrated with Grab Transport for tourists, to Smart 5G powering enhanced Grab Unlimited experiences—we're creating a seamless digital environment that removes friction from everyday journeys for both Cambodians and visitors.," said Mr. Sovannarot Kang, Grab’s Country Head, Expansion Region (Cambodia & Myanmar).

The partnership further strengthens Smart Axiata’s ongoing expansion of its digital services and ecosystem, building on its existing offerings to deliver a broader range of solutions beyond connectivity. By integrating additional services such as digital solutions for enterprises of all sizes, enhanced connectivity for homes, and diverse content offerings, Smart continues to evolve its role as a comprehensive digital solutions provider for customers across Cambodia.
