Smart Axiata’s new Smart ThomMorng! Monthly plan is more convenient and offers even better value
Cambodia’s leading telecommunications operator Smart Axiata is extending its most popular Smart ThomMorng! plan range with the new addition of the Smart ThomMorng! Monthly plan, which offers even better value – a balance of 1,666 USD, equivalent to 41GB of data, 27,000 on-net minutes or 40,000 on-net messages – than the daily and weekly plans.
The new monthly plan, costing only 5 USD per month, will mean that Smart ThomMorng! subscribers do not need to renew their plan on a weekly basis and will be able to better manage their main balance on a monthly basis without concerns of additional withdrawals or standard charges. To activate the Smart ThomMorng! Monthly plan, subscribers can simply dial *1333*5# or use the SmartNas app.
The Smart ThomMorng! Daily and Weekly plans have been activated by millions of Cambodian users across the country since they were launched. Data usage and the need for connectivity has grown during the COVID-19 pandemic, so the company is adding the new monthly plan to better meet the evolving needs of its customers.
“Our subscribers are using more data, especially now that many of us are working or studying from home, so it was important for us to address these changing habits with the Smart ThomMorng! Monthly plan, which is more convenient and represents even better value for our customers,” said Smart Axiata’s Chief Executive Officer Thomas Hundt.
Customers who use all of their plan balance before the end of the month will be charged at the cheapest standard rates of any plan: only 1.5 cents per 100MB of data, 6 cents per on-net minute and 3 cents per on-net SMS.
“Our customers have told us that while they enjoy the value of the weekly and daily Smart ThomMorng! plans, they sometimes find it challenging to manage them on a short-term basis. With the monthly plan, they can be far more certain of how much they are spending on their vital data and communications needs, which have become even more important during the COVID-19 pandemic,” Thomas added.
