SeeYouSoon has won the top prize of 15,000 USD and earned the chance to compete on the international stage, in Cambodia’s first Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League tournament which was created as a result of a partnership between Smart Axiata and Montoon, the creator of Mobile Legends.

Cambodia’s inaugural fully fledged eSports tournament, which kicked off in July, drew to a close on October 3rd. Six hundred teams took part in the qualification rounds where they competed for the top eight spots. For four weeks, the top eight teams competed for points with the top six competing in playoffs and the Grand Final.

SeeYouSoon won the tournament having earned 3-2 over DG Quantum at the end of the season.

“It was awesome to compete in MPL! The competition was fierce but we triumphed as a team and we’re excited for the chance to face off with other great players from around the world.  We will do our best to win and make Cambodia proud when we compete at the Mobile Legends M3 World Championship later this year,” said Sam Sophanny, MPL winning team captain/representative SeeYouSoon.

SeeYouSoon will compete against other international MPL champions from countries such as Brazil, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, and Singapore at the Mobile Legends M3 World Championship which takes place in December. SeeYouSoon was also crowned as the champion of Smart Kingdom of Legends 2020.

“Cambodia’s first official eSports league, a result of our partnership with Montoon, has been a resounding success that has attracted the interest of legions of Cambodian eSports fans. The MPL season, which will return in 2022, attracted millions of online views across different social media platforms. The grand final of the tournament garnered over 1.3 million views.

Moonton Games, the developer of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) announced that the third edition of its world championship, the Mobile Legends M3 World Championship will take place in Singapore in December.

The tournament will feature 16 teams from around the globe competing for a share of the 800,000 USD prize pool and the title of world champion. Teams that are expected to compete in the Mobile Legends M3 World Championship have qualified by participating in Mobile Legends Professional Leagues (MPL) in Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Brazil, and Cambodia among other countries.
