Song of the Year ​

• The song must have been released ​between December 1, 2021, and November 30, 2022.
• Song must be available in the Pleng app.
• Based on the number of streams in the Pleng app.
• Only streams from December 1, 2021, to Novrmber 30, 2022, will be counted.
• The six nominee songs with the most streams will be put to a public vote​

Male Artist of the Year​​

• Only male artists who have released one or more songs in the Pleng app are eligible​.
• Based on the number of streams in the Pleng app​.
• Only streams from December 1, 2021, to November 30, 2022, will be counted.​
• The six nominee artists with the most streams will be put to a public vote.​

Female Artist of the Year​​

• Only female artists who have released one or more songs in the Pleng app are eligible​.
• Based on the number of streams in the Pleng app​.
• Only streams from December 1, 2021, to November 30, 2022, will be counted.​
• The six nominee artists with the most streams will be put to a public vote​.

New Artist of the Year​

• Only new artists who released one or more hit songs in the Pleng app between December 1, 2021, to November 30, 2022, are eligible​.
• Based on the number of streams in the Pleng app​.
• Only streams from December 1, 2021, to November 30, 2022, will be counted.​
• The six nominee artists with the most streams will be put to a public vote.

Best Collaborative Song of the Year​

• The song must have been released between December 1, 2021, and November 30, 2022.
• Only songs that are available in the Pleng app are eligible.
• Based on the number of streams in the Pleng app​.
• Songs must feature a minimum of two artists​.
• Only streams from December 1, 2021, to November 30, 2022, will be counted.
• The six nominee songs with the most streams will be put to a public vote​.

​Music Video of the Year​

• Based on the storyline, cinematography, editing techniques and number of streams in the Pleng app.
• Only songs that are available in the Pleng app are eligible.
• Based on the number of streams in the Pleng app​.
• Only streams from December 1, 2021, to November 30, 2022, will be counted.
• The six nominee music videos with the most streams will be put to a public vote​.

Album of the Year

• Album must have been released ​between December 1, 2021, and November 30, 2022.
• Album must be available in the Pleng app​.
• Based on the number of streams in the Pleng app​.
• Only streams from December 1, 2021, to November 30, 2022, will be counted.
• The five nominee songs with the most streams will be put to a public vote​.

Best Khmer New Year Pop Song

• Song must be of the Khmer New Year pop music genre.
• Song must be in the Pleng app.
• Based on the number of streams.
• Song must have been released between December 1, 2021, and November 30, 2022.

​Best Khmer New Year Modern Dance Song

• Song must be of the Khmer New Year modern dance music genre.
• Song must be in the Pleng app.
• Based on the number of streams.
• Song must have been released between December 1, 2021, and November 30, 2022.

Most Streamed Song ​

• The song must have been released ​between December 1, 2021, and November 30, 2022.
• Only songs that are available in the Pleng app are eligible​.
• Based on number of streams in the Pleng app​.
• Only streams from December 1, 2021, to November 30, 2022, will be counted.
• The song with the most streams will win automatically without a public vote​.

​Most Streamed Female Artist

• Only female artists with one or more songs in the Pleng app are eligible.
• Based on the number of streams in the Pleng app​.
• Only streams from December 1, 2021, to November 30, 2022, will be counted.
• The female artist with the most streams will win automatically without a public vote​.

Most Streamed Male Artist

• Only male artists with one or more songs in the Pleng app are eligible.
• Based on the number of streams in the Pleng app​.
• Only streams from December 1, 2021, to November 30, 2022, will be counted.​
• The male artist with the most streams will win automatically without a public vote​.

​Lifetime Achievement Award​

• The artist who has published the most song content in the Pleng app​.
• During their lifetime, they must have created innovative, outstanding work in Cambodia’s music industry​.

Public voting (40% of the total score)​

Fans can vote for their favorite artists and songs in the Pleng app. To ensure fairness, each voter must register their phone number before voting. ​

Note: One phone number can only vote once in each award category.

Voting by music professionals (40% of the total score) ​

Music industry professionals are defined as well-known and experienced music producers, songwriters and music video directors in Cambodia. A Pleng committee will invite the technicians and specialists from several large and independent production houses to make the voting process balanced and fair.

Total number of streams in the Pleng app (20% of the total score) ​

In addition to voting in the Pleng app, fans can continue to support their favorite artists and songs by simply streaming songs in the Pleng app during the voting period. ​

• To vote for a nominee in the Pleng Music Awards 2022, simply go in to the Pleng app and find the banner for PMA 2023.
• Before voting, you must register your phone number (voting is available to subscribers of all mobile networks).
• Voting will start on February 23, 2023, and finish on March 8, 2023.
