  • SIM card life cycle

    • A. Number used to top up
      • If I don’t top up after the validity date of a top up, my number will enter into 60 days blocking period where outgoing calls, SMS and data will be blocked.
      • Following the initial 60 days blocking period, my number will then go into the next period of 30 days when both outgoing calls, SMS and data as well as incoming calls and SMS will be blocked.
      • Finally, my number will be recycled and reused by Smart as a new number. To prevent blocking from happening, I can just top up before my number is blocked. To know the status of my number, I can check on SmartNas, self-care app. If I haven’t downloaded yet, I can download here with Android or iOS.
    • B. Number never topped up
      • If all prepaid subscribers are the new users and they don’t top up at all after they activated their SIM card, their number will enter into 60 days blocking period after their initial validity ended.
      • Finally their numbers will be recycled and reused by Smart as a new number after that 60 days period.
      • Idle/Initial => Active => MOC => Recycled
