SmartLuy is a digital financial service provider, not a bank, but is partnered with ABA Bank. SmartLuy lets you be flexible with your money, with the added safety features of ABA Bank.
Why should I use SmartLuy?
SmartLuy was created to help you always know, and never worry, about your finances. We offer basic financial services to empower you to make transactions cheaply, quickly and easily, so you can save, spend and live smarter.
How does SmartLuy work?
SmartLuy has a nationwide network of SmartLuy Agents and Smart Shops, along with the SmartLuy Mobile App, to let you to easily send, receive and manage your money on your smartphone.
What is my SmartLuy wallet number?
Your wallet number is your mobile phone number.
What if I lose or misplace my phone?
Your money is not stored on your phone, it is held safely in your SmartLuy wallet, just like a bank. Once you have found or replaced your phone, you can access your wallet like normal.
What if I’m locked out of my SmartLuy wallet?
Please call our customer support team on 788 who will help you unblock your account.
What if I forget my PIN?
Please call our customer support team on 788 to reset your PIN.
How do I change my PIN?
You can change your PIN in the SmartLuy Mobile App using the “Change PIN” function. Alternatively, you can dial *1111*92*8#, which opens up the PIN change screen, or call the customer service team on 788.
How do I change my contact details?
Please call our customer support team on 788 to update your contact details, or if you want to change your mobile or SmartLuy wallet number.
Can I store both Khmer Riel and US Dollars in my SmartLuy wallet?
Yes, your account has both a US Dollar and a Khmer Riel wallet with separate balances. Please take care to select the correct wallet according to the currency you want to use to avoid unnecessary exchange rate costs.
Using financial features
How do I get money into my SmartLuy wallet?
Visit any SmartLuy agent or Smart Shop nationwide to deposit cash into your wallet – it’s free!
Do I receive any interest for having a SmartLuy wallet?
No, SmartLuy wallets are non-interest bearing.
Can I transfer money from my bank account to my SmartLuy wallet?
Yes, but only if it’s an ABA Bank account. We will, however, be introducing more banks soon – so watch this space!
Does SmartLuy charge any fees?
SmartLuy doesn’t have either account keeping or hidden fees. We only charge when you send money or make a payment.
What can I do if I see an unauthorized or fraudulent charge on my SmartLuy wallet?
If you notice any suspicious activity, please call our customer support team on 788.
How much money can I deposit into my SmartLuy wallet?
You can deposit up to $10,000 or 40,000,000 KHR into your SmartLuy wallet.
Does my SmartLuy balance expire?
No – SmartLuy is not mobile airtime. It does not expire and there are no wallet fees either.
Spending and sending money
How do I pay a friend?
You can pay a friend using the Send Money feature in the SmartLuy Mobile App. All you need is their mobile phone number. If your friend isn’t with Smart or doesn’t have a SmartLuy wallet, they can retrieve money you send them from any SmartLuy Agent or Smart Shop using the 5-digit, one-time passcode provided to you when you send the payment.
How do I pay bills using SmartLuy?
To pay bills from the SmartLuy Mobile App, select the Payment option and then start typing the name of the biller you want to pay.
What happens when I use my SmartLuy wallet while I’m traveling abroad?
You can still access SmartLuy when you’re overseas by using the mobile app. Dialing *1111# will also work if you’re roaming.
