K-Pop Superstar Rain to stage Smart Mega Concert in Cambodia
Phnom Penh, Cambodia: On 9th March 2017, Smart Axiata Co., Ltd. (Smart), Cambodia’s leading mobile telecommunication operator, held a press conference at its headquarter to announce the next Smart Mega Concert in collaboration with South East Asia Radio & Television (SEATV) and International Media Services and Consulting Group (IMS). This Smart Mega Concert which has been highly awaited by many music fans in Cambodia will be graced by South Korean famous singer, songwriter, actor and music producer Jung Ji-hoon, or better known by his stage name: Rain!
A line up of the most popular Khmer Original Artists will join Rain on stage that night to make it another unforgettable Smart Mega Concert for Cambodia’s music lovers.
CEOs of Smart, SEATV and IMS, partner representatives, selected Smart subscribers and local media attended the press event of this Smart Mega Concert, which has been scheduled to be on 30th March in front of Koh Pich Theater. There will also be a Meet & Greet event in the morning of the same day at a venue to be announced later.
Mr. Thomas Hundt, CEO of Smart, was upbeat about this forthcoming concert and believed it will be a big hit in Cambodia: “We are thrilled to provide Cambodians the opportunity to be part of another Smart International Mega Concert, this time with a phenomenal K-Pop Star: Rain. This concert in partnership with SEATV and IMS follows two successful world-class performances and many other concerts that Smart has brought to thousands of music fans, which were also designed to entertain and inspire the local community.”
Mr. Peang Mann, CEO of IMS, one of the co-organizers who will be in charge of coordinating the press media, said that he was honored to cooperate with both partners to co-organize the Smart Mega Concert, particularly in facilitating all the media: TV and radio stations, local newspapers and local well-known news websites.
Mr. XXX, CEO of SEATV, said: “I am very honored and privileged to work together with IMS, a big local advertising agency in Cambodia and Smart, Cambodia’s leading telco, to co-organize the Smart Mega Concert. SEATV will broadcast this concert live from Koh Pich on 30th March!”

Similar to previous concerts by Smart, the Smart Mega Concert on 30th March staging Rain will be free for all Smart subscribers, the only requirement is to have Smart Music app installed.
