Technical Support Technician

Job responsibilities

The role is to provide 2nd level and on-site technical support to setup new Fixed broadband service, provide solutions to technical complaints, troubleshoot network related issues, and restore network services.

  • Setup new internet, network, WiFi system of Enterprise, Businesses, and Residential subscribers,
  • Provide solutions to technical complaints and issues from Enterprise, Businesses, and Residential subscribers
  • Monitor key network service metrics, SLAs, and customer network service health
  • Escalate to network operation engineers or appropriate team on network related issues,
  • Provide documented root cause analysis, lessons learnt and corrective actions,
  • Be on rotation calls to support SOC engineers and call center agents in troubleshooting network issues and service incidents.

Job requirements

Education & Qualification:

  • Preferably Diploma or certificate in network engineering courses or trainings
  • Be culturally fit in the team by displaying of Smart Axiata’s core values in the past working experiences and/or in academic environments

Working Experience:

  • 1+ years of hands-on experience in deploying and troubleshooting IP network engineering in an ISP, telecom, or enterprise environment

Specific Skills:

  • Good troubleshooting experience in Enterprise LAN/WAN network, GPON, OLT/ONU architecture
  • Use of protocols and technologies including Static Routing, NAT, Port Forwarding, ACL, and WiFi system
  • Familiarity with network systems, tools, and technologies, Cacti, Nagios, Syslog, Cacti, Ic-inga, or equivalences
  • Good understandings in TCP/IP
