Job responsibilities

The job entails planning and designing the transmission network in order to meet operational requirements. This includes considering physical and virtual systems, wired and wireless systems, as well as optical and copper-based systems. Additionally, the job involves designing Layer 2 and Layer 3 network support systems to ensure that the design is capable of meeting future demands.

• Designing the DCN/IP/access network infrastructure to meet service requirements.
• Designing and evaluating the IP/MPLS network infrastructure to meet service requirements.
• Periodic oversight of the transmission network is necessary to ensure quality. This includes conducting checks and proposing action plans when necessary.
• Managing the planning and capacity of the transmission network systems. This encompasses both wired and wireless systems, as well as optical and copper-based systems.
• Evaluating and proposing suitable transmission technologies and solutions to meet service requirements.
• Recommending and utilizing appropriate planning software and tools.
• Designing and planning microwave wireless links.
• Collaboration with vendors and suppliers is required to implement the network effectively.

Job requirements

• A bachelor's degree in IT or Telecommunications is required.
• Minimum 5 years in design and planning IP/DWDM networks.
• Should possess the knowledge and the ability to understand the telecommunications industry comprehensively. This includes a deep understanding of the end-to-end architecture, value chain, systems, and interconnectivity/inter-operation. They should also be familiar with the process flows involved in delivering services, from customer demands to service delivery, within their domain of expertise.
• Should have knowledge and experience in performing contract management and monitoring tasks. This includes verifying performance, inspecting works, and ensuring adherence to quality standards, costs, and timelines.
• Should possess foundational knowledge and the ability to define, update, and implement the company's information system management and audit policy. They should be familiar with best practices in IT governance and be able to ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
• Should have foundational knowledge and the ability to initiate, plan, execute, and monitor projects. They should be familiar with project management methodologies and possess the skills to effectively manage project activities, resources, and timelines.
