What is International Roaming?

 

International Roaming allows mobile customers to automatically make and receive voice calls, send and receive data, or access other services when traveling outside of their own home network and country, by means of using visited network in another country.

 

While you are roaming, your Phone Number remains the same for all people calling you and your in-coming calls shall be transmitted to the network of the country you are visiting, therefore the different tariffs will apply, and you usually pay for both in-coming and out-going calls.

1-    Visitors to Cambodia

How to Choose Smart Mobile Network?

 

Your phone will detect Smart Mobile network automatically when you switch on your phone upon arrival, and you will see SMART, KHM 06 or 456 06. If not, please do the following:

 

    - From the phone menu, go to Setting > Network Setting > Manual Network Selection >

      Search for Network.

 

   - Select SMART, KHM 06 or 456 06

How to Use Roaming while Abroad?

 

There are 2 simple ways to use roaming services while carrying Smart mobile SIM card to the world.

 

    -    Direct Partners

Just turn on your phone upon arrival and the phone will automatically select for an available network. If you experience the network quality, then manual selection is recommended to switch to another network by click on Phone Menu > Setting > Network Selection > Search.

 

Note: Manual selection is always different as it depends on the handset model.

 

    -     Indirect Partners

In this case, you must change the subscription from our Smart Menu by the following steps.

 

Menu > Smart Menu > Smart Roaming > Subscription Changed > Ok > Restart the Phone. After that the phone will automatically select for an available network as usual.

 

Note: Whenever you move from indirect zone to direct zone or return back to Cambodia, you need to access to Smart Menu, and choose Smart Mobile.

 

 

How to Make Phone Calls while Abroad?

 

    Call to the numbers in country that you are visiting:

[+] [Country Code] [Area Code] [Phone Number or dial a local number straight away]

    Call back to Cambodia or other countries other than the country you are visiting:

[+] [Country Code] [Area Code] [Phone Number]

 

    Send SMS or MMS to the local numbers or other countries:

[+] [Country Code] [Area Code] [Phone Number]

 

    Access GPRS/EDGE while roaming:

     Simply access GPRS/EDGE as usual.
